Kárpátia étterem Asztalfoglalás

Welcome to Kárpátia Restaurant, one of the oldest Budapest restaurants, a city landmark since 1877.
Welcome to the world of traditional and contemporary Hungarian gastronomy, where a spirited gypsy band plays amidst historic walls.
This classic Budapest restaurant has a truly remarkable, romantic atmosphere - the harmony of the beautiful interior with its hand-painted and gilded walls, historical paintings (all created in the 1920's) and the emotional gypsy music is unforgettable.

Chef's speech

Dear Guests!

Let us invite you to a wonderful journey to world of Hungarian flavours!
We have set together our menu in order to introduce to you dishes from different regions of the Carpathian Basin, using only original ingredient from regional producers.  The dishes are cooked according to the traditional recipes partly in original and partly in a renewed form of presentation.
With the high quality work of our waiters and cooks, and their conciseness of tradition we had the chance to host many important and sophisticated guests such as kings or state presidents, in our restaurant but also on events, and had them return many times to the journey around Hungarian flavours.
